To your father’s point, I used to wryly observe to my coworkers that I tried not to repeat mistakes — that way I could get on with the important business of making entirely new ones … 😉

As for the LLM responses, having never used one I was struck by the unctuous and obsequious tone of its responses to your follow-up questions. I can see where a not insignificant proportion of the population would enjoy that sort of thing — I suspect this is no accident and is designed to foster what I think the “attention economy” mavens call “engagement.” No thanks — looks indistinguishable from slavery to me …
