Dougald this another great article and has provoked me to become a paid subscriber.

Direct payments to individuals make a lot of sense to me, and I would argue in favour of a universal basic income. There are a few of reasons why.

The first is that the last 50 years has seen a systematic government-abetted transfer of wealth to corporations from wage earners as wages have lagged productivity growth while profits have soared.

The second major reason to support UBI is because of the inequality generated by the inflation in asset values documented in your post. A broad segment of society has been disadvantaged by that, and it needs to be addressed.

The other major reason is the transition that is happening in the labour market, which is the displacement of human labour by AI. We are just at the beginning stages of it, where call centres are being eliminated but in a short period of time there is going to be a huge impact on the amount of work available.

I hate it, I disagree with all this (not literally, speaking on an emotional level)

I think some of this is correct though in what he said somewhere about it being a big huge system, I mean, you see the inflation and hyper inflation around the world, people suffering from this system for example in African countries etc. It is felt throughout I believe and has effects throughout the world because the U.S. is the reserve currency and the top five currencies are all linked to the dollar. It's a whole global system. When the fed raises rates it's felt around the world is it not? It's not a game of just "managing and directing a domestic economy" Geopolitics are linked with this "game".

Yeah Allah, and God knows best and Allah doesn't like this sick dirty disgusting exploitative system either and all this competing for worldly gains, especially when it is unjust and exploitative.

Have you seen a person eating the flesh of his brother/brothers? That is usury or riba.

There are slme good books that tell about some of the history of central banks and how governments are the perfect debtor because they have the "best credit rating" - best ability to pay back loans. The U.S. runs the biggest ponzi scheme in the history of the world, all built on debt and debt trapping countries and keeping them food poor and in-sovereign. The CFR, USAID, Israel itself is a creation of western imperialism...
