"Dreadful lies" don't make anyone gasp anymore... sad. But thanks for the clear exposure. And the Matilda quote did make me smile. Briefly.

Firstly if there were no clients (including Trump), why is Ghislaine Maxwell in jail? She was found guilty of child sex trafficking and other offences in connection with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Secondly, there are photographs of Trump et al with Epstein and young girls circulating widely on social media. It is fact that Epstein cultivated an elite social circle and procured many women and children whom he and his associates sexually abused. Trump and Black with other unsavoury characters circulated in that “social circle ’. The mounds of circumstantial evidence alone should be enough to convict Trump, Black, Prince Andrew, etc. of being the sexual deviants they are. And yet we have people here in Canada that worship Trump. That adhere to his ‘philosophy of hedonism’. That subscribe to his ‘politics’. Absolutely disgusting.

If there truly were no Epstein client list, why couldn't they have told us in 2017?

For that matter, just a month ago, J.D. Vance was calling for the publication of that list, so it beggars belief that someone in the know could not take the vice-president aside and tell him that there was no list to make public.

Yet more proof of the need for investigative journalists and a fair and impartial prosecution and judicial system.

And as we have seen this past week, the current leaders of the journalism and criminal investigative branches of government have decided to break their oaths of office and deny victims of criminal behaviour their day in court.

This behaviour by Bondi and Patel is to my mind even more damaging to the US than the rape of the government and its data stores by Musk, or any of the hidden provisions of the BBB than make actions of the Executive branch legal and beyond the touch of Congress or the Courts. If the appointed government leaders will not enforce the rule of law, then you no longer have a civilized society. It is now a ‘might makes right’ justice system.

I cannot imagine how career FBI agents and lawyers who have spent their lives supporting the rule of law are feeling as they watch the legal framework that protected the people they served being willfully destroyed to allow the Trumpist mafia state take root and flourish.

I hope that the citizens will not wait for the 2026 mid-term elections to fight back. By then it will be too late.

But what does this mean for us? We can no longer expect that the US government and their legal system honour contracts, treaties and trade agreements in any way. We are looking at a ‘post-apocalyptic’ scenario where ICE agents cross the border into Canada to seize territory, resources and our people. Scary, but already know that there is a new ‘Cold War’ with Canada and the Free World nations facing the Chinese, Russians, Iranians, N. Korea, and now the USA.

The only way to deal with a Mafia is to bring maximum force against their money making operations and make their legal protections apply not as they have used then, but as intended, or do away with the laws that are protecting them and pass new legislation that better protects everyone.

And just maybe start fighting ‘the Chicago way’.

Nous nous souviendrons.

We are Canadian.

That you think FBI agents and lawyers support the rule of law is touching.
