Thank you & a round up of popular posts
Subcribers have more than doubled since November.
Hi everyone,
I wanted to thank everyone who has signed up as a subscriber. I was very pleased to hit 1,000 subscribers back at the beginning of November, 2024.
Since then, it’s more than doubled to over 2,400 free subcribers, and we should be over 2500 in the next few days.
Most subscribers are from the U.S. and Canada, with many in the UK and New Zealand, but there are subscribers in 66 countries.
I am pleased to have raised this level of interest, and I have had a lot of very useful and often kind feedback and praise.
I thought I would share some of the most popular posts, which are about cross-border Canadian-American eccentrics and self-promoters, Elon Musk and Dr. Jordan Peterson. What can be said about two men whose entire success is based on people believing them when they say the most mind-blowingly ignorant and misguided things and still be taken seriously.
They are weirdly incapable of getting anything right at all. Peterson’s entire career is riddled with him making statements that other experts have said are wrong, and occasionally dangerous.
Musk was born into wealth and he does not have an engineering degree. He placed a lucky bet with Paypal. He has routinely been unsuccessful at the companies he runs, and none of the companies he runs are profitable. His wealth is entirely on paper, and he has lost more than $100-billion of it.
Hasn’t anyone else asked themselves, if Elon Musk is the richest man in the world, why did he have to take a second job with the government? Tesla sales are tanking, and it was never a profitable company to begin with. It made money from selling carbon credits. SpaceX is not profitable. X/Twitter is not profitable.
Musk also does not understand government finances, nor apparently does anyone else within shouting distance of the U.S. President, which is why hundreds of billions of dollars in cuts results in shrinking the economy by hundreds of billions of dollars.
This is why Musk & Trump’s cuts are more dangerous even than they thought.
This has proven to be very popular, and puts the story of Elon Musk’s extremist grandfather from Saskatchewan in important perspective.
This is an important perspective on Jordan Peterson, YouTuber and Junk Scientist.
And this, which I wish more Canadian policymakers would wrap their heads around.
If you’re enjoying it, please share it, and consider upgrading to a paid subscription.
Thanks.
Thank you, been following for a couple of months and you’re one good writer, respect!
I found you via a TikTok video where you were explaining the history of the problems of the oil and gas industries in relation to the out of control Liberal bashing going on in Alberta and Saskatchewan. I’d love to read more on this… on the actual drivers of the problems in these industries, that it’s not the fault of the Liberals or where it may be. It seems mission critical to be able to counter this divisiveness and to have civil discourse if we are to unify in this country… I need ammunition.
